Solution Pitch

The Problem

MakerGhat aims to address the challenge of youth unemployment and lack of agency. In India, 83% of unemployed individuals are youth, with 82% having secondary or higher education. The rote learning education system has failed to equip youth with employability skills, exacerbating the skills mismatch in an evolving job market.

The Solution

MakerGhat is an educational model designed to bridge the gap between traditional rote learning and hands-on, experiential education, particularly in STEAM fields. Our technology solution, MakerDost, is a Large Language Model (LLM) based WhatsApp chatbot. Through this we support teachers and youth with hands-on learning activities, skill evaluations, and customized lesson plans. Our approach empowers students with critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, aligning closely with workforce needs and emerging technologies. We partner with government bodies, NGOs, and academic institutions to revitalize educational infrastructure and provide training that enhances employability, career awareness, and entrepreneurial skills. Through a robust monitoring and evaluation framework, we ensure our programs are data-driven and responsive to students' evolving needs, making our model scalable and adaptable for diverse educational settings.
