Alanna Hughes
Vice President of Implementation Strategy, Per Scholas
As a Vice President at Per Scholas, Alanna leads implementation strategy for customized employer partnerships. Per Scholas offers tuition-free IT training tracks in 14 US cities (and virtually) that put graduates in direct hiring pipelines with Fortune 500 companies, helping those companies in turn fill critical roles with inclusive talent. Alanna's background spans both the private and social sectors. As a Strategy & Analytics Manager with Deloitte Consulting, she led teams to deliver healthcare and nonprofit projects in different parts of the US. Over the course of her broader career, she has worked at, consulted for, and collaborated with nonprofits, companies, social enterprises, and governments in both the U.S. and other countries in the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. Prior to Deloitte, Alanna spent several years in international development, primarily focused on economic development and social entrepreneurship. Alanna is a strong advocate of public service and served in the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic (and worked with another national service organization, City Year, while at Deloitte).
Alanna is a graduate of MIT Sloan School of Management (MBA), Harvard Kennedy School (MPA), and Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service (BSFS). Alanna is currently on the Boston Advisory Boards of Soccer without Borders (an awesome organization that uses soccer as a vehicle for inclusion and skill-building among immigrant, refugee, and asylee concentrated communities).
Alanna was born and raised in Massachusetts and is a resident of East Boston.
