Chéri is co-creator and managing director of Indigenous Energy Initiative. She is a descendant of the Mi’Kmaq Tribe. Her experience in the fields of renewable energy and environmental sustainability spans two decades and multiple sectors, including Federal and State, Higher Education, NGO, and within tribal communities.

Following her roles leading Workforce and Training Strategy for Tesla and SolarCity, Chéri founded the predecessor of IEI, Covenant Tribal Solar Initiative, in 2016. The initiatives were driven by the desire to honor her own Native American heritage by leveraging decades of experience in the clean energy industry to bring the life-changing economic and environmental benefits of solar power to Indigenous communities within the United States.
