David Alabo

Multi-disciplinary Artist

Ghanaian-Moroccan multi-disciplinary artist David Alabo filters his work through an Afro-surrealistic sensibility, producing digital African landscapes that are at once speculative, familiar and fantastical.

Utilizing several different mediums ranging from virtual reality to computer-generated programming, the artist captures androgynous figures in vast ‘futurescapes’ alluding to overarching themes of solitude, displacement, and introspection in his work.

Alabo’s work has been featured in CNN, Adobe, and Allure amongst others. The artist has also collaborated with Apple, HBO, and various other partners to showcase his unique blend of African futurism and surrealism.
