Phyllis Mugadza is the founder and CEO of Sprxng LLC. Sprxng is developing the next generation of menstrual products and therapeutics for menstrual pain. Their first product, the Ori disc, is a reusable menstrual disc that includes a non-chemical therapy for menstrual pain. Phyllis was born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe. She received her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University, her Master's Degree in Public Health from the Yale School of Public Health and is currently continuing her research in Menstrual Health as a PhD candidate in Population Health Sciences at Harvard. Phyllis was selected as an MIT Solv[ED] Youth Innovation Solver and was the recipient of the Pozen Social Innovation Prize. She is passionate about developing Menstrual Health Management (MHM) strategies for menstruating people with disabilities, transgender people, and those living in post-crisis, humanitarian, and low-resource environments.
