Sriram Raghavan

Vice President, Research AI, IBM Research

Sriram Raghavan leads IBM’s research portfolio in artificial intelligence (AI). He has responsibility for establishing and executing IBM's scientific agenda in AI, leading a worldwide team of scientists and engineers spread across IBM's research labs across the globe. Sriram also works closely with business leaders in IBM Software and IBM Consulting to drive research advancements in AI into the company's commercial offerings. Earlier, Sriram was the Director of the IBM Research Lab in India and the CTO for IBM in India/South Asia. Sriram began his career at the IBM Almaden Research Center in San Jose, California, USA where he led a variety of research efforts at the intersection of AI (specifically natural language processing), large-scale data management, business analytics, and distributed systems. Sriram is an alumnus of Stanford University, USA, and the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India. He also serves on the technical advisory board of the Robert Bosch Center for Data Science and AI.
